Atlantis Food Forest Garden

ATLANTIS FOOD FOREST GARDEN

Atlantida food forest garden was started more than 100 years ago and its now a fully mature food forest garden. It is composed of more than 300 trees and about 50 different fruits and berries providing for all the fruits needs of the farm. It is a long list of things that grow in this subtropical paradise.

Something very special about the subtropical climate is that you can have cold climate plants like elderberry or apples for next to Jack fruit and bananas and cacao, so you get this magical edge of diversity and abundance that is not present in other climates. Besides that its never realy cold weather here and there is not even one dangerous animal around in this islands...

The Atlantida food forest is part of in la isleta wich means the island inside island, its popular to be the most relaxed place in the canaries and its the region with the most organic agriculture production, it is also very close from the sea and there are many tracking walks close to the farm, you can see the laurel forest, one of the oldest in the world and see El teide, the highest mountain in the atlantic ocean.
